Wednesday afternoon of the conference will be left free for attendees to attend one of four possible excursions – we are hoping with all these options there will be something for everyone!
During registration you must indicate your preference for Wednesday excursion. Note that some of the excursions have limited places, which will be filled on a first come first served basis. If you would like to be put on a reserve list for otherwise full excursions please let us know after you have registered by emailing us at mcwasp@gre.ac.uk.
1. Visit to MRT Castings (Limited to 30 People)
MRT Castings has been in business for over 75 years. They operate high pressure die casting alongside gravity die casting and traditional sand casting along with finishing services. Based in near to the venue in Andover the owners have kindly agreed to give a tour to conference attendees.

2. Tour and Gin Cocktail Masterclass at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Lavestoke Mill (Limited to 50 People)
Explore the home of Bombay Sapphire with a fully guided tour of the distillery. Discover how they make our world-famous gin and the processes they use to make it so unique. The Gin Cocktail Masterclass is an interactive session on cocktail culture, allowing your group to learn and create cocktails with Gin Experts.

3. Stonehenge Visit
Stonehenge needs little introduction it is one of the most famous landmarks in the United Kingdom. It is a prehistoric megalithic structure and its construction began over 5000 years ago. This visit will include an audio guide, access to the exhibition, viewing of the stone circle and the surrounding areas.

4. Visit to Winchester and Winchester Cathedral
A chance to view historic Winchester and maybe do some shopping. Winchester Cathedral is over 900 years old, with construction starting in 1079, and is the sixth largest Cathedral in the UK. Winchester also has plenty of opportunities for shopping with many independent shops.
